WWE: Past is the Present

~ Backstory ~

For quite some time now, World Wrestling Entertainment has been headed on a downward spiral. Whether it's coming to being forced to let go top names, or just pushing/jobbing the wrong guys, nothing has gone all that well. Placing all their chips on the top guys just seemingly is not an option, giving us no choice but to go back to the year of 2006, when so many young guys had potential that was wasted by WWE's bad booking.

What would WWE have been if Kurt Angle had never left for TNA? Or if ECW was never formed to begin with? And what would the Divas division be like now if Trish Stratus never retired? These are the kind of answers that are of interest as myself, Hoopstar, and TMKamesE reunite to bring you WWE from WrestleMania 22, where things are about to change.

WrestleMania 22 had its ups and downs. The main event was solid, and delivered. But in all honesty, who wants to see a 5 minute Handicap Match, an even shorter pillow fight, Mark Henry and Vince McMahon in one of the big matches, and Rey Mysterio winning the World Title? That's would I would refer to as shit, but now it's time to turn things around and make them a hell of a lot better than what they were nearly three years ago.

Tune in to WWE: Past is the Present for a much better WWE then the one you see today.

Well I think you could have tampered with the results to suit you more, but then agin I guess you have given yourselves the challenge of making the product better.

The rosters are good and this BTB has great potential, i'll be checking this out.

Yeah, we kept the results the same because that way we get to fix WWE's booking to start with, rather than making it our own from the get-go.

Raw preview will be up in a few days, maybe Wednesday or Thursday. Raw will probably be up Saturday, but no guarantees.

Monday Night Raw
April 3/06 - Chicago, Illinois

**PREVIEW**

WrestleMania - the biggest event of the year left millions worldwide speechless, enthusiastic, and shocked from start to finish. But the new wrestling season kicks off with Monday Night Raw, and superstars will be out for vengeance as things are about to heat up to temperatures never before seen.

Last night, John Cena shocked the wrestling world by doing the near impossible; forcing The Game himself, Triple H, to tap out to his signature STFU, and in the process, keeping his WWE Championship close in sight. Tonight, nor John Cena or Triple H are scheduled for action, and Triple H is rumored to not even show up. However, that still leaves the Champ, who could make his presence known at any time. Will Cena have any words to say about his huge win in the main event of WrestleMania over the self-proclaimed 'King of Kings'?

Rob Van Dam pulled out a huge win on the Grandest Stage of 'em All, knocking off 5 other superstars to win the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. With Rob Van Dam how holding a future World Title Match that he can use whenever he wants in the next twelve months, both John Cena and Rey Mysterio need to be on the ball at all times, or whoever the World Champion may be at the particular time when Rob Van Dam looks to cash in his golden opportunity. Tonight, we'll have the chance to hear from the winner of the second ever Money in the Bank Ladder Match in WWE History, and one can only wonder what Mr. Money in the Bank will have to say.

The other two men in the Money in the Bank Match from the Raw brand, Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin and the man he won that title from, Ric Flair, will engage in action on Raw. With Flair still fuming from losing his title back in February, this gives him another chance to let off steam on Shelton Benjamin. Will the Nature Boy dig down deep and pull the rabit out of the hat? Or will Shelton Benjamin use his new found winning tactics to add yet another tally mark in the 'W' column?

Shawn Michaels may have rid Mr. McMahon forever from the WWE Universe last night at WrestleMania, coming down from a 20 foot ladder and smashing through a table. Mr. McMahon is severely injured at this point, and may never be seen on a WWE screen again. Shawn Michaels is currently not scheduled for Raw, but rumors are going around that Edge, the same man who beat the Hardcore Legend, Mick Foley, has challenged Michaels to a match on Raw. If the match does take place, which WrestleMania winner will prevail?

After fifteen months of ups and downs, Trish Stratus's miraculous title reign finally came to an end last night at the hands of the psychotic Mickie James. Trish will look to bounce right back on Raw in Tag Team action, but with Mickie not scheduled to compete, will the new Champion still arrive to make her presence known? And many still wonder when Trish will use her rematch clause to hopefully regain the championship that just barely slipped out of her grasp.

Confirmed for Raw

Non-Title Contest
IC Champ. Shelton Benjamin vs. Ric Flair

Tag Team Contest
Trish Stratus & Torrie Wilson vs. Victoria & Candice Michelle

Unconfirmed Matchup
Edge w/Lita vs. Shawn Michaels

Rob Van Dam discusses his Money in the Bank win.

Also, appearances from Kane, Big Show, the Spirit Squad, and more!

I'm hoping for Raw to be posted either Saturday or Sunday.

Rob Van Dam discusses his Money in the Bank win.
Should be interesting, it will probably be interupted by someone who wants the MITB briefcase and then he convinces RVD to put it on the line at the next PPV. RVD accepts and we have ourselves a match.

Also, appearances from Kane, Big Show, the Spirit Squad, and more
Should be a well earned toilet break :p lol. Jokes.

Looks good, hopefuly you can have a check out on my show one time if you are not busy. Thankies. Very Happy

Monday Night Raw
April 3/06 - Chicago, Illinois

"The Champ is Still Here"

A music video plays, featuring the song "Big Time," by Peter Gabriel, which was the theme song for WrestleMania 22 last night. It highlights some of the biggest moments from last night's event, including Shelton Benjamin's springboard to the outside, Shawn Michaels jumping from a 20 foot ladder onto Vince McMahon, and both John Cena and Rey Mysterio walking out with World Championships in tow.

After a final shot with John Cena celebrating as confetti falls from the ceiling of the Allstate Arena in Chicago, we cut to the opening video for Raw. As "Across the Nation" plays, we then cut to the pitch black Allstate Arena. Soon, many fireworks blast from the stage and ceiling as the fans go wild, waving their signs in the air in pure anticipation.

Joey Styles: 24 hours ago, we were commentating some of the greatest matches you'll ever see in 2006. But tonight, we're past the spectacle known as WrestleMania, and we are well on way to yet another full 'season' of Monday Night Raw at its finest. Good evening gentlemen, we've got a lot ahead of us with WrestleMania behind us, don't we?

Jerry Lawler: Well, we could say that. But I still have those shivers in my spine from last night at WrestleMania. John Cena, Triple H, an epic war, but in the end, the world was absolutely SHOCKED to see Triple H tap out to Cena's infamous STFU.

Jonathan Coachman: And as we saw, Shawn Michaels may have buried the hatchet once and for all by defeating the chairman, AND sending him out on a stretcher. I think the so called "Show-Stopper" went too far.

Joey Styles: Right here tonight we will hear from WWE Champion, John Cena, in this very ring, and it's been questioned whether Triple H is even in the building or not.

Match 1; 6-Man Tag Team Contest
World Tag Champs. Kane & Big Show, and Chavo Guerrero vs. Carlito, Chris Masters, and Rob Conway

Carlito & Chris Masters are most certainly looking for redemption in this match after losing an opportunity at the tag titles last night at WrestleMania. Kane and the Big Show use their massive size to seemingly get the advantage for their team in the early goings. Chavo Guerrero legally involves himself in the match to, taking it to Carlito with a fury of offence, only to have Rob Conway illegally hit him from the apron when he bounces off the ropes, slowing down all of his momentum.

The heel team goes to work on poor Chavo, keeping him isolated in their own corner. As expected, they get cocky, with Chris Masters slamming Chavo hard, and then flexing his muscles afterwards as Carlito and Conway applaud. Kane and the Big Show don't applaud, however, and enter the ring as they head over to the other team's corner, only to have the referee do everything he can to restrain them. Unfortunately, this backfires as Masters, Carlito, and Conway all team up on Chavo Guerrero, further extending any previous damage caused.

The referee turns around to see everything normal again - Rob Conway in the ring dropping an elbow to Chavo's back, and Carlito and Chris Masters standing pleasantly on the apron. At this point, it seems as if things are hopeless for Chavo, but Carlito gets far too cocky. Going for a Springboard Back Elbow, Guerrero scouts it, and slides out of harm's way as Carlito rolls around the canvas in pain. Eventually, Chavo is able to tag in the massive figure of the Big Show, while Carlito tags his fellow tag team partner, Chris Masters.

The two biggest men from each team clash, with Big Show seemingly dominating Masters with several headbutts and clubs against his skull. Carlito and Rob Conway finally find themselves entering the ring to try and put a halt to the massive 7 foot 4 giant, only to be crushed by the mammoth fists of 'Show as well. It seems as if Big Show was in complete control, having cleared the ring of Carlito & Conway not too long before, and now going for the Chokeslam on the Masterpiece, but unfortunately, Conway grabbed Show's foot from the outside. Carlito then entered the ring, breaking up Show's hold.

However, Kane got himself involved by stalking Carlito for his actions. The South Paw turned around, only to have his head taken off with a Big Boot from the Big Red Machine (how fitting). Meanwhile, Chavo came flying off the apron on the outside, taking out Conway with a Cross-Body to some cheers from the ringside fans. Back in the ring, Kane and the Big Show quickly used their devastating Double-Team finisher on Chris Masters - the Double Chokeslam, scoring the victory.

Winners by pinfall @ 9:12 - World Tag Champs. Big Show & Kane, and Chavo Guerrero

The World Tag Team Champions look down at the Masterpiece in disgust, but also with the slightest bit of pity. The referee raises their hands as Chavo Guerrero, who is still recovering on the outside from his leap, shows a smirk as he knows the result, and is happy to have picked up a win.

Joey Styles: The difference in size among the team of the World Tag Champions and Chavo Guerrero didn't hold them back tonight, taking it to the young, cocky team of Carlito, Rob Conway, and the Masterpiece, and picking up a huge win in our opening contest this evening.

Jerry Lawler: I've been saying this ever since Big Show and Kane won those titles - who on the face of the Earth will be able to match their size and strength, and ultimately, beat them for those titles?

Jonathan Coachman: I don't know if we'll ever see the day when those two hand over those belts to another team, and quite frankly, we might have to go looking for two men who are ready to climb up that mountain.

***

Elsewhere, we hear a bunch of noise backstage, including yelling, "horn-blowing," and other sorts of noise. The camera pans over ... to see the Spirit Squad excitedly bouncing down the halls of the Allstate Arena. Fans watching on the titantron pour heat on these five youngsters, and attempted to cost Shawn Michaels his match at WrestleMania ... but failed.

Kenny: 'ey! Fella's!! .. (the four other male cheerleaders continue to cheer quite loud) ... ... I SAID FELLA'S!!!!

They stop in dead silence and direct their undivided attention towards the self-proclaimed "captain."

Kenny: In case you clowns didn't notice, I don't seem to be quite as thrilled as the rest of you.

Mitch: That's 'cause you need to lighten' up!

The other three members shout YEAH!

Kenny: Maybe it's 'cause last night, Shawn Michaels (lots of cheers) made us look ... silly.

The Spirit Squad goes dead loud as a fan in the arena blows on some kinda horn, just like the SS would!

Johnny: Now c'mon Ken, that's a little harsh?

Kenny: Yeah, well y'know what? It's real, it's the truth, and so you can say whatever the hell ya' want, but Shawn Michaels embarrassed us at the grandest stage of 'em all, and I'm not too down with that.

The SS share loud agreements.

Mitch: So what? We take Michaels out the first chance we get?

???: That won't do.

The Spirit Squad turns over, as does the cameraman, to see Shane McMahon standing with a small smirk on his face, but not very happy, either.

Shane McMahon: It's good to know I'm not the only one in this locker room who's out for blood ... with Shawn Michaels. Last night at WrestleMania, Shawn Michaels beat me like a dog, he treated me like I'm not even human, and then he forced me to watch the demise of my father. My father is OUT! Do you get that? He could be done for LIFE!!!!

Shane relaxes, stepping back after leaning in to make his point.

Shane McMahon: I don't appreciate those kind of people.

Kenny:
Shane, 'Shane-O' ... relax pal. Look, we gotcha' covered. You hate Shawn Michaels ... we hate Shawn Michaels, we all hate Shawn Michaels. And so we can get the job done, you know we can.

Shane McMahon seems unsure about the idea, and as some may call, a risk.

Kenny: C'mon Shane, give us Shawn Michaels, here tonight ... five .. on ... one.
Large amount of heat at the thought of this biased matchup.

Shane McMahon: No ... no, I want Shawn Michaels' demise to be longer than that. I want him to know how much HELL he has put my family through for the past decade.

The Spirit Squad are backing Shane up with motivational 'yells', but they're probably just trying to kiss his ass.

Shane McMahon: You guys can have your hands on him some other time, but tonight ... tonight it's gonna be Shawn Michaels, one-on-one ... ... ... with EDGE.

Mixed reaction as Shane's eyes widen, before he leaves the set as the Spirit Squad are speechless.

{Commercials}

The rest of the show will be posted later today Smile
